Once the free memory is exhausted, performance takes a big hit - games with heavy caching like BF1 suffer horribly. The only way to fix it previously was restarting the computer (thus clearing the memory), which explains why it was only happening after a while and not on a fresh boot.

The bulk of your time is spent staring down the barrel of your blaster as you hunt down other players. You get a variety of Star Wars blasters to unlock and use, from pistol-style single-shot arms to beefy fully automatic energy-spewing death machines. In practice, however, the gunplay falls short. Battlefront maps are surprisingly claustrophobic, despite how large they can be. Every area is filled with caverns, tunnels, trenches, and more, so it is very easy to sneak up on other players or get ambushed. Because of this, you rarely need or want a long-range weapon.
Fighter Squadron is Battlefront's dogfighting mode, which pits Imperial starships like TIE fighters and Rebel X-wings against one another in giant sky battles. Hidden in these maps are power ups that let you fly Solo's Millennium Falcon and Boba Fett's Slave 1, which serve as the Hero Vehicles in this mode. Fighter Squadron is also my least favorite mode in the game, as the flight controls feel very tank-like. Aligning your shots feels nice, but the mouse sensitivity is a touch too high for my liking. While that can be adjusted in the options menu, the slow turning and weak targeting system make the game mode a test of patience rather than an enjoyable experience.
As far as PC performance goes, Star Wars: Battlefront is a fine port. Screen resolution options start at 1280 by 720 and go up to 1920 by 1080. Refresh rate starts at 60, and includes 84.90, 99.93, 119.98, and 144, giving you a smooth video across a wide variety of monitors.

Hello everybody. I've experienced the same issues with my game in the past few days. Indeed, as Ecald2 has answered, the game requirements are very high. It does not work with the Intel GPU, but only with a dedicated GPU. I have a laptop with an AMD Radeon additionally to the Intel GPU and the game stopped working when my dedicated GPU died few days ago, and I had to disable it (windows started to freeze eveytime I've tried to reinstall or update the AMD GPU driver). I have the same message for Intel GPU when I try to load the game. It simply does not run without a dedicated GPU. That is the fact. In my case, since I have a laptop, it means I will not be able to run the game again unless I buy another computer. That's the hard truth. So, it seems to me that the problem is not your Intel GPU, Dmann3, but the fact that you don't have a dedicated GPU to run the game. That's it. Anyway, I thank everyone who discover a way to run the the game with the Intel GPU, because you cannot even find that driver version the message asks for, and, then you try to install the latest version, it simply says it is not supported.
